Riding for the Disabled (RDA) NSW is a volunteer organisation providing equine assisted activities for up to 100 people with disabilities to develop and improve coordination, balance, muscular development, fitness, personal confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, leadership and trust.
The primary objective of RDA NSW is to provide most people with a disability, the opportunity to ride and enjoy all the activities connected with horse riding. Riding for people with a disability is both therapeutic and recreational and RDA NSW is in fact one of the few organisations who offer a multi-diagnostic service, catering for people with a wide range of disabilities.
Blacktown Workers Club Group are proud to support the RDA with their Therapeutic Program including equine programs, life skills, occupational therapy and mental health to improve the lives of participants with disabilities, their families and volunteers.
BWCG has contributed over $33,500 in funding to assist with the cost of running the programs including vehicle expenses, mechanical horse, equipment and Covid-19 protection.
